Many ASURE classes do not require a drop permission. However, students who drop the ASURE class may be required to drop the ASURE program entirely. When necessary to drop, drop permission only for students who no longer want to participate in the ASURE program. (Dropping the class = declining ASURE.) To confirm ASURE associated classes, check the ASURE website. Send an email notifying asure@iu.edu of the student’s drop. Or, the student will receive outreach from ASURE if they drop a required class. Any drop permission not used in a timely manner will result in administrative disenrollment from the class. |

HISP | Spanish General Placement Note | Students who are awaiting transfer or test credit may fill out the online permission form to request enrollmetn permission into an appropriate level course. Students who feel that their placement score is not accurate should follow the procedure of 1. enrolling in their placement course, 2. attending at least the first class, 3. speaking with their placement course instructor. If after these steps, the student and instructor agree the course is not appropriate, they shoudl fill out the online permission form to request permission for a different course.
