- The new Course Equivalency Database is searchable by program, country, term, attribute, department, and more! This tool replaces the program-specific PDF equivalencies. If you notice any discrepancies, please alert our office.
New Policy (July 31, 2024)
- All course equivalencies must be submitted through the course approval memo submission tool. (If you click on that link and don’t have access, simply request it from edabroad@iu.edu). These create consistent entries in our system for tracking when/for whom departments grant course equivalencies.
- Remember: the course approval memos are for IU-approved AND non-IU programs (even if the student’s transcript from, say, Barcelona is coming through a U.S.-based school, like University of New Haven. No study abroad-related course approvals should go to domestic admissions!)

- Encourage students to attend a First Steps Info Session with our office.
