Significant changes were made to the College's Academic Advisement Report (AAR) beginning with Summer 2020 requirements. These changes were made in tandem with changes the College of Arts and Sciences Bulletin. In both cases, the goals of the changes were to:
- Provide more consistency and transparency between how requirements are written in the Bulletin and how they are enforced in the AAR
- To the extent possible, move away from limits ("maximum of…," "no more than…") and instead use minima ("at least…")
- Codify that the Bulletin informs the AAR; not the other way around
